No problem. When lighting is blasted out and there's not much info to work with, you gotta decide on a battle plan. You can go more graphic like Mucha, indicate form with edges, stop/fade tones at corners, etc. The possibilities are endless. It's a good idea to pick one idea and follow it through. Learning more and more that design/drawing ideas are simple to comprehend; it just takes a lifetime to master.

Trying to play with edges. I wanted to show the difference between bone and muscle with edges. Still learning :P

hoo hoo, this one is nice. her brow bone, forehead, and left temple seem a bit strong though compared to how her cheek and chin form.

Those are sharp to indicate bone and my corners ;) That was the reasoning behind it

It works well for the thumbnail in the gallery but it's just a bit awkward when it's this big. Obviously, these are all about maximizing efficiency over a short time so I don't expect perfection lol.

Also, after watching some sitcoms after seeing this, I finally noticed how Caucasians have a more prominent bone plate between the hair line and brow line than Asians...

That's true but at the same time. It's to keep them looking like paintings. When I paint traditionally alla prima, I use only 4 brushes. The same applies here. Design big to small.
All my favorite classic illustrators design this way. :)
